Haggerty's
Cobblestone and reef point on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, southwest of the cliff zone. Faces southwest and sits inside the peninsula's wind shadow, so onshore wind on the rest of the South Bay can read offshore here.
Spot intel
Parking
Roadside parking along Paseo Del Mar above the cliff. Trail down to the cobblestone is steep and exposed. No dedicated lot.
Crowd
Locals run it. The lineup is smaller than the Malibu points but tighter, and the PV crew knows everyone in the water.
Beginner-friendly?
No.
Cliff trail entry, exposed cobblestone bottom, and a priority hierarchy that runs hard local. Not a beginner wave.
Lineup etiquette
Priority on a point goes to the deepest rider. Snaking is the standard call-out.
When it's on
West through west-northwest groundswell with size. The peninsula's wind shadow makes south through east winds read offshore on most tides.
